Welcome to BEATLES DAY 12

We hope you will enjoy the show!

It was April 8th 2001 when the first of the three
shows at the Marina Pavilion took place (the first Beatles Day was at Pissarro’s in December 2000).  After three years at the Marina we then had years 5, 6 and 7 on Hastings Pier. Wonderful shows (and so sad to watch the flames take away so much history and magical memories.)

This is our fourth year at the White Rock. It now feels
like home and is a fantastic venue. Please enjoy the
three bars and the restaurant. As usual we have music in the Sussex Hall as well as the main auditorium. Feel free to visit both.

This year we have a lot of new acts taking part – for
some it’s their first gig! It’s been amazing watching young players grow each year in ability (and height!) into fine musicians. Is there another town like Hastings with a music scene such as ours?

And please take advantage of the raffle. We have
some amazing prizes!

Today we would like to thank:

MCs:  Mick Bovey, Clive Garrard, Andy Gunton and Graham How.
PA:  Ian Dobson, Sam Dobson, Andy Holiday, Andre Kent and Luke Rylan.
Equipment:  Bonners (special thanks to Tony White).
Stage:  Mark Briggs and Amelia Enness.
Guitar Techs:  Mark Briggs, Phil Hudson, Danny Jeffries and Rob Love.
Backstage:  Sam Briggs, John Cammell, Scott Crowe, Debra Powell, Luke Verrall, Nicki Verrall and Pete Verrall.

The Lovely Ritas for singing in the town centre to raise awareness – and funds.
The Macmillan army of volunteers who work tirelessly all day; it couldn’t happen without them.
Cliff Brooker for the amazing publicity designs.
The Beatles Day committee: Anita Gibbs, Joan Harding, Graham How, Pete Prescott, Dave Upwood and Doreen Upwood (an all-year production).
The staff at the White Rock Theatre (especially Adam – mentioned in dispatches).

Special thanks to Ken and Jean Briggs and to Roland Clarke, Matt Herrievan, Mad Hatters, Masons Music and Angie Towner – and to all our wonderful sponsors and volunteers without whom...

Please remember – all the musicians are donating
their time completely free today, and therefore the programme may be subject to change!

Have a terrific day.

 Pete Prescott
